SpywareQuake is the latest
rogue antispyware threat to hit the net. Like all rogue antispyware, SpywareQuake is a fake antispyware program that aims to either take your money, or steal your identity.
But SpywareQuake is a bit more dangerous than previously thought.
SpywareQuake typically downloads with deceptive methods such as a video or audio codec. Normally codecs are perfectly harmless, but they can also be used to hijack your PC and wreak havoc on your system.
In this case, SpywareQuake takes hold of your system and significantly slows it down to a crawl. It purposely slows your system down along with frightening warning alerts that are designed to scare you into buying their product. But even purchasing this rogue software is only part of the problem.
Your system may be restored to normal, but at what price? Now some hacker has your credit card info and your money… and maybe even your identity.
Some have tried to remove SpywareQuake manually, but this can be tricky or even dangerous to your PC if you’re not careful or you don’t know what you’re doing. Save yourself the headache by installing some fresh,
REAL antispyware to remove this feisty little bug.
Of course, the best protection is to always have antispyware running in the first place. This will block attempts by SpywareQuake and other rogue spyware programs from infecting your computer in the first place.
